Where does the time go? We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Even though we had a lot of rain, it was still nice weather and we were happy to be in Arizona during this great season. (I believe it does make those miserable summers worth it) We enjoyed a quiet day at home just the four of us -- we took naps, ate yummy food, watched movies and just relaxed. It was so nice.
Thanksgiving Evening, we went to our friends house where I helped my friend give the program "A Walk With Christ" to her family. We took Ray and Ryan along, and they got to experience first hand, what Mary and I have been raving about for months. This is a special program about the Savior that is done through the senses. We did it originally at girls camp, and have had the opportunity to present it several other times since. Each time, I think -- I won't cry in that part, but it is so filled with the spirit that you can't help it. Even Ryan was impressed. Certainly, a wonderful way to begin our holiday season.
Sunday night, we were able to attend our annual Youth Standards Night Fireside with our Stake President. It was fantastic. Our Stake President is so in tune with the youth and what they need. Mary was asked to speak at this fireside as well. She gave a wonderful talk, and as I sat in the congregation looking up at her on the stand, I couldn't help but reflect on the last 17 years and how quickly they have past. She looked beautiful sitting up there, and her talked truly reflected the inner beauty that she possesses. She is a wonderful young woman, and I feel truly blessed and sometimes unworthy to be her mother.

wow! i would have died at 17 being asked to speak at standards night! i am sure Mary did great :) I got your text, but we had just flown in from the dirty dirty south! Sorry, our flight was late and it kept dad from seeing mary talk ! I am sure she did great, she amazes me :)
Brad spoke on sunday and I did the same thinking how fast time has gone by. He will be gone on his mission in the blink of an eye. I think you might have to come do the Christ thing over here. I have never heard of it before.
she is such a beautiful person...inside and out; and might I add...very blessed to have you as her mother!
I am glad you had a good Thanksgiving.
I am so jealous of your blog! You do such a great job organzing it. I need to find sometime to sit down and make mine look a little more festive, too! :)Very cute.
