Water Park -- Arizona Style

Ryan hiked the Grand Canyon this summer with the youth from our church. As Ryan put it -- the best water park he has been to -- and well worth the 10 mile hike with the 40 pound pack on your back. He had hiked it once before when he was 11 -- it was much easier now being 16 and so much fun.

Who would expect anything else, coming from the child that has lived in the water since the day he was born. He is a daredevil -- ready to try anything. The cliff jumping, the swinging from the rope, the icy water, the scaling of the cliff to get the good jump in.

Myself -- I do think it is beautiful -- and I have been there once. But once was enough for me! Now, I am perfectly content to enjoy my backyard pool.

High School Graduation

With a graduating class of over 900.... your stomach churns when you think of sitting through the reading of all of those names. But somehow, it becomes a time of reflection.

She has come so far.
She has risen to the occasion.
She has become a beautiful young woman.
She is ready to take on the world.
She is ready to leave home.
She has stood tall amid a world that wants to drag you down.
She has become one of my greatest friends.
She never gave up.
She has goals.
She has a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
She is a light to all those who she is with.
She has the perfect smile.
She has a personality that is contagious.
She has worked hard.
She is our High School Graduate --

ready to take the next step in her life...

Congratulations Mary -- You have something to be proud of!
