Ray was so kind to spend his coveted free night alone at the house, to referee the YW Basketball games. It was so hilarious.... He took it so seriously..... He went and got a new whistle, questioned Mary and I about any special rules, wanted to know how much time the halfs were., etc, etc.
We kept telling him -- don't worry, it will be a frustrating evening watching these girls that have no clue what they are doing. Needless to say, we were right! He couldn't believe the way the girls play and thought that is was quite an entertaining evening. He spent the better part of the evening running up and down the court watching the girls run with the ball, and trying not to cringe too much and to overlook the many mistakes. He finally did call travelling on a girl when she ran half court carrying the ball like a football. It was basically an evening of exercise and patience for him! Thanks Ray, but don't quit the day job just yet!

I love the outfit! He should come ref at our games. We have had some horrible refing. This way ha can call every travel and every foul without over looking it! :)
Those refs are in good shape. They run as much or more than the players. I hope he was up to the task.
haha...he is always so supportive...and such a great sport.
haha love it. ah YW basketball is always good for some laughs. especially because half of our girls DO know how to play!
Go RAY!!! A man of many talents...who knew?
hey lady...I remember old church basketball. When I was playing as a YW, I was so frustrated with all the girls by the end of the game, I picked up the ball, yelled an obscenity, and punted the ball across the gym. Sister Crum was furious with me. hahaha
