Okay -- we are really spoiled. I have wanted a Bosch Mixer for years. I have a Kitchen Aid, and I keep telling me that when it dies, I will get a Bosch. You know how it goes, when you want something to break, it never does....(like the nordic track in my bedroom, but that is for another post). In October we were at the Nufers (Ray's Sister) and she was showing off her new Bosch.... making us homemade pizza, giving us yummy toast for breakfast, and I am thinking...... I really need to get back into baking my own bread. The cost alone of the "good" bread at $4.00 a loaf would be worth it.
So..... the night we flew home, i was in making bread in the kitchen aid and had Ryan standing guard so that it didn't dance off the counter. I even have the big Kitchen Aid, but it just doesn't stand up to weekly bread making.
For Christmas, I got a wheat grinder.... (does that qualify as one of those "doghouse" gifts?) I say NO! I love it and that is what I wanted. So, you know that made the Bosch even more coveted. I waited as long as I could stand, and headed to the store to get the Bosch and within 2 hours from arriving home, we had hot fresh bread..... Thanks to Teresa who had given us the DVD and recipe. I had already watched the DVD weeks ago and was ready and primed. I was amazed at the difference it made. Thanks Teresa for turning me on to my new favorite kitchen toy!

WOW! I am glad that you got the Bosch. My dad is the "cook" in our family, and also makes wonderful bread! I should tell him about the Bosch! :)
Good job sarah! Now we'll just have to convert spencer!!
Lucky you Sarah! One day I'll get a Bosch. While I do think the Kitchenaid's are prettier looking, Bosch's are so much better.
Save me some of that homemade bread! :) And I had to laugh out loud reading about your nordic track in your bedroom. I'm amazed that thing is still going. For as long as I can remember it's been there!
I wanna Booooosch.. whinning never gets you anywhere but sometimes it makes you feel better. I've been maiking it the old fashioned way for the past few months and it takes FOREVEEEEEER. But it's really tasty.. Don't forget the salt. That's not so tasty.
you lucky lady! so now i understand why you're so excited about making bread all of the sudden. if you ever need someone to test out your products...we'd be happy to help you out :)
