What a Catch!!!

It seems like our lives revolve around our children -- which they should. You could also say that our lives revolve around our childrens sports or activities. Mary is pitching in to do her part (no pun intended). She is playing in a "Fall Ball" Softball league. A double header Monday nights. She has played over the past 3 years and decided the first year that catcher is the position that she wanted to play. Having danced all her life, and never done sports, I was a bit skeptical and I never liked it when Ryan pitched because there was too much pressure on the pitcher and catcher and the parents all got mad and yelled if they messed up. But Mary has stepped up to the plate (literally) and had become quite the catcher. She loves it and does a great job. Motrin is required after the games for the aches and pains of sitting in the squatting position for basically 4 hours. And for us, the fans, cooler weather has arrived -- in the evenings that is -- and it is below 100 degrees, we can enjoy sitting out at the ballpark.
