One Last Bit of Summer

This past weekend, we took a quick trip to Southern CA for a wedding reception.... Now what would a trip to California be if it did not include the word "BEACH"? I love the beach, and so does Ryan, but for Mary and Ray it is more of an endurance test. I love enjoying the ocean breeze and sitting doing nothing but just watching kids play in the surf, and curl up with a good book, which is exactly what I did. Ryan did a little boogie boarding, and Mary and Ray "endured". What good sports they have become. We usually leave Ray home when we go to the beach, but with limited time, he decided to come along for the ride. It was a great get away for a couple of days, got to see our good friends, and enjoy the "official" end of summer, eventhough we really won't see cooler days for a couple of months.
