Seminary Conference

This weekend our church has General Conference. We get to hear from our leaders and receive counsel pertinent to our day. We look forward to this two times each year.

For those who do not know, the youth of our church have the opportunity to participate in the Seminary program of the church. For one hour of their school day, they spend their time learning gospel principles, scriptures, and receiving a daily spiritual message. We are lucky enough to live where Seminary is "released time" and part of the daily school routine each day. Today, in preparation for General Conference, Seminary Conference was held each hour. Ryan was asked to speak at the conference, and invited me to attend to hear him speak. So.... 3rd hour, I headed to the Seminary Building. These three, Ryan, Syndey and Rebecca all touched my heart, as well as the musical numbers presented.

I love being around the youth of the church, and I'm not going to lie... i even kind of miss it right now as I am not serving with the youth right now. I sat and watched as they came into the building. These are wonderful youth, valiant, and willing to serve and filled with the spirit. What a wonderful thing for them, to put the world away for one hour of the day and attend Seminary. I sat in the back of the room, soaked in the spirit of that meeting. It was one of those moments that the spirit was so strong, you can hardly breath. It really got me ready for the weekend, and invited the spirit into my day.

Thank you Ryan, for allowing me to share in this part of your day.
