Well, this is a post that has been on my mind for a year now.... But what better time to post this than on a 1 year anniversary of the actual event.
I love these two girls....Mary and Rebecca!
In December of 2009, Mary felt inspired that she should invite Rebecca to come to church with us. Rebecca came, and then that evening they went to the temple lights, and then the next thing I knew, we were having the missionary lessons with Rebecca in our home. What a powerful experience that can be. I truly invite and encourage you all to find someone to have the missionaries teach in your home.
Rebecca is the sweetest girl that you will ever know. She was so receptive to the gospel. She bubbles with excitement and quickly became totally absorbed by the gospel of Jesus Christ and the spirit of the Holy Ghost. I remember one night, taking the Laurels to the visitors center with her -- we were all in tears, the spirit was so strong. It was amazing. Rebecca now serves in her ward as a member of the Laural Class Presidency -- she is an example to us all.
I know that perhaps these two friends knew each other before this life, and as they left to come to this earth, Mary maybe hugged Rebecca and said...."I will find you my friend"
Rebecca, Thank You for coming into our lives! And Mary, thank you for being in tune with the spirit so much that you found Rebecca and shared the gospel with her!
Congratulations Rebecca, on your 1 year anniversary as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
