Times have changed.....

Tuckett home scene....

We are all kneeling for the prayer, me, Ray, Mary and the two dogs....

Ray:  "Where is Ryan?"

Sarah:  "He is in his room doing homework."

Ray:  "Could someone text him and tell him we are having the prayer?"

Mary pulls out her phone... lets him know it is prayer time... and Voila!  He appears and we have family prayer...

I must say... I am quite embarassed to say this happens a lot at our house..  time for dinner, time for prayer, take out the trash.....   Oh the joys of technology.... does it make us lazy or more efficient?

I vote "more effective"... and I agree that it's better than yelling.
Also with our kids, they respond like 10 times faster to a text than if I walk all the way back into their rooms and tell them whatever the message is.
Sad as it may be, we moms just have to use whatever form of communication works best with this little phase called "teenagers".
You gotta love em'
