A retriever has to do what comes naturally..... and this is the scene at my backdoor tonight. Maggies first "retrieve"! She was so proud of her find. It just amazes me how the instinct kicks in and they move into retriever mode! She evidently found this poor bird in the backyard and brought it to show us of her great ability to tenderly pick it up and bring it to her master! Her master quickly took it and put it in the trash! Thanks Maggie, you are such a helper!
