How can you not love this face? This weekend during a weak moment, I gave into the pressure to go get her. Big mistake.... never go just to "look" at golden retriever puppies. A friend of Mary's had a litter of puppies nearly 11 weeks old that they were getting rid of.... Mary happened to be in "the right place, in the right time" (ha ha) and found out about them. We went and looked, and were hooked. We were in love.... and wanted to give her a home.... We returned later in the day to get her. She is very mellow (so far, ha ha ) and we have been having fun with her.
In all reality -- I have been looking for a puppy. Abby is really slowing down, and has difficulty getting up. It is so sad to see her get old. She has been the best dog ever. We are hoping that she will pass on all of her great traits to her new little sister.

What are you thinking??!!! that is like starting over with a baby...you are such a push over! If you are ever in another weak moment again, call me and I will give you one of my very emotional girls!!!!! ha ha :) Wow, It's hard to believe Abby is getting old, I remember when you got her and lacy was the old lady.
Oh. My. Gosh! This is so funny because I have been looking for a dog well.. since before we were married actually but recently more so. I went to the pound the other day for a few hours and fell in love with a Golden Ret. and a Golden/Lab mix. You would have DIED at how cute they were. All I need to do is talk the land lords into the idea and pray the Bentleys wont dis own me. I know they will approve though if our puppy turns out like Abby or cute little Maggie. I love her. Good luck! Cant wait to hear about the adventures with a new puppy ;)

my girls just saw the picture and the said "awwwwww, I want to go pet her" that 's the way we do pets here at our house, we love them at OTHER people's houses!

cute dog... one day, when i'm not changing any more diapers, i will consider getting a dog, but until then i will just admire yours here on your blog.
