Great Weekend!

What a great weekend we have had enjoying General Conference. We look forward to conference weekend twice each year. It is always an inspiration to hear the word of the prophet and the apostles as well as our other leaders. I loved Sister Elaine Daltons talk on Virtue. Thanks to great Seminary teachers, both Mary and Ryan sat with paper and pen taking a few notes on the conference. Our good friend, Elder Hamula spoke at the priesthood session and he must have really done a good job because Ryan said that he gave a great talk, as well as "he looked good on the big screen"! We will be sure to let Elder Hamula know this when we arrive at his home this week on our trip to Utah. Joyce and I have been counting the days for weeks and we can hardly wait to be together for a few days!

And the other great part of the weekend is the welcome of "FALL"! It has dropped below 100 degrees! It is so nice outside, and we hope it is here to stay. I almost felt like I needed a light jacket when we ate outside at a local restaurant last night. Although we don't see the fall colors like the rest of the country, the air conditioning is slowing down, we need to drag the jeans out of the closet, it is time to plant the winter lawn, and we remind ourselves, that the winter time is why we live in Arizona. It is Great!

Oh man, it dropped below 100 degrees just in time for me to leave for Oklahoma?! With my luck it'll be back to 100 when I get back. So true though, the winter is why Arizona is so great.

Conference was so good again. I loved Elder Nelson's talk.

Brad and Spencer came home from priesthood so excited to have heard Elder Hamula (it seems weird calling him that) They both said he gave an amazing talk, VERY inspiring!! Brad said it was even better cause he knew him.
