With budget cuts in the City of Mesa, it is next to impossible to be hired for summer hire as a lifeguard anymore. Ryan tried last year, and with several pools closed last year, no one was hired, and many lost their jobs. Ryan did not give up, and tried again this year in hopes of at least something. He completed his WSI (Water Safety Instructor) certification, in addition to the lifeguard training he already has. You have to take a skills test to be hired and you are hired according to your interview and how you score on the test.
Ryan was so happy to find out that he has been hired as the Assistant Water Polo Coach at one of the pools in Mesa. Yahoo!!! He always loved his water polo days and now is looking forward to coaching the younger boys... Way to Go!

And you know he's going to keep every cent he makes squirreled away in a pillow case somewhere. Who knows how much he's got stashed away!
