This is what arrived in Mary's inbox today.....Dear Mary:
Congratulations! We are pleased to offer you admission to Brigham Young University-Idaho. We look forward to having you on campus and feel that you will be an asset to this university.
As a Mother, you work and hope all your life that you instill values in your children, teach them all they need to know, give them the strength the be able to be in the world on their own... and then the time comes, and its hard. Hard to let go, knowing this is the next step for her to take. Wondering, have I taught her enough? Is it ever enough? Does she know how much I truly love her? That I am always here for her, that I would move heaven and earth for her.
It is time Mary -- Time for you to take that next step. Get ready for a grand adventure, full of learning, full of excitement, full of the spirit. You are ready. I know you can do this. This is a wonderful time of your life -- live each moment to the fullest -- I am so proud of the choices you have made thus far in your life, you are such a choice young woman. I love you and you will always be with me..... even when you are far far away from me and in a cold cold land. Thank you for allowing me to be your mother, good luck with this fun new adventure ahead. The future is all up to you!

Ditto-I still remember your first family home evening when I came right after you were born. Keep doing what you are doing.
